Things are good (really good) with the young one. So much so, that yes, he is more than a boy toy. He’s romantic, thoughtful, his “oral communication skills” = amazing. We are in a good place...and I like him.
We even have corny nicknames for each other (I know...gag).
So...the next step, to be determined. But right now, we are in a really good place.

Atlanta, Extremist
Having Fun...
Klein and I have seen each other almost everyday in some shape or form. We've done everything from casual hanging with friends, to impromptu home visits, and talk/make-out time. No test-driving of the goods yet...He's a great guy as I've said before. The only thing that bothers me is his extremist religious views...I'm not exaggerating, he's not a bible thumper, trying to convert me type guy, however he thinks his religion is "the truth". Oh and he is trying to get me to stop eating bacon...and all things pork. I happen to like salami or a really good bacon blue-cheese burger...
In Other News:
I'm going to Atlanta this weekend for a girls weekend. Hmmm, never been, don't really know what to expect.

Barely Legal, The New Black???
When he asked for my number, I had no idea, he just got off the tit. I guess I assume most guys that approach me (with the exception of really really old men) are my age. So I didn’t even think about asking him how old he was. It came out after our first conversation.
SIDE NOTE: Is it just me, or are the young one’s getting more gutsy with the whole cougar movement? I mean, I’m no cougar, but this little boy/older woman thing could be getting out of hand in 5....4...3...2 :END SIDE NOTE
In his defense he thought I was his age. So yeaaa for me, I look like a pretty young thing! Anyways. We went on a date, and lets just say, he’s adorable. Like, I remember when I was a fresh faced young thing, and thought I knew everything. Ahhh the good ole days. His name will be "Klein" (it means tiny in German)
"Klein" was a perfect gentleman. He tried to put on his big boy game.
We indulged in food, a romantic walk, and surprise flowers (it’s been a year since I got flowers, I thought it was a cute gesture)
Now the question is, can I look past the almost 8 year age difference? Let’s be real, while "Klein" was partaking in milk and after-school specials, I was partaking in adult beverages and “adult activities’. Maybe he will make a good boy toy for the spring/summer.
Speaking of the spring, it brings out the masses. Sunday afternoon, this off-duty officer, put his old man mack-game down. Actually, I don’t know how old he is, but I am assuming, that the sprinkle of gray, and divorce status puts him in his 40’s. Fingers crossed, that I’m right. I can’t go back to dating old men. I need to put age caps on these guys.
You need to be this tall to ride this ride.
P.S. I almost forgot, while I was out with kiddie care, my cell was in my clutch. Somehow it accidentally dialed Jason. He called me back twice, but for obvious reasons I didn’t answer. We haven’t really talked since his whole PMS attack.
P.S.S. My new addiction is this right here. Basically, choose your city, & get hooked. Oh & kickboxing is going to be my other part-time lover...
P.S.S.S. Mr. H and I went to dinner & Target last night. A typical Mr. H & Diva hang out thing, sans the sex. He did drop hints that he was feeling a little randy...he's banned from my cookie jar for the rest of his life.

The Weekend Review: A Date, Stay On Your-Side & PDA
10. My weekend started on Wednesday. I hung with some chick friends for a minute. Not the same. Was home by midnight to prepare for my day trip to NY at 7:30am
9. The trip to NY with Devin was much better this time. We got a room in Midtown, didn't have the bus ride from hell and just chilled. Uno problemo. There was only one bed in our room, although I clearly requested two.
8. It's been almost two weeks since I heard from Mr. Henry. Guess he didn't like what I had to say. Oh well, his numbers were deleted two weeks ago anyways along with Tony's & some "unmentionables"
7. Speaking of "unmentionables", I ran into DJ a week or so ago. He's texted and called me a few times since our encounter...
6. Devin and I got stuck in Starbucks after 2am, cause someone thought it was a bright idea to use that entrance to get to our hotel room, well, in our defense, the door WAS unlocked. As soon as it shut behind us, it locked and the alarm started going off. The opposite door to the hotel was locked too....we were “locked-up”.
5. Friday night, after getting back to DC, I hung with some chick friends for happy hour and drinks. Then met Devin in Adams Morgan.
4. After a night of vodka’s and limes, while walking down the street at the butt crack of dawn in the morning in Adams Morgan and on U Street, Iwas yelling at couples who were having sex and sucking face to get a room politely told people who felt the need to show random acts of Nasty, McNasty PDA to get a room. This one couple retorted back and said, “well you can kiss the guy you’re with”. (Pause). I looked at Devin and apologize to the couple....punks.
3. I went on a date yesterday. It was sofucking boring. (more on that later)
2. Brian made it safely.I’m so jealous he got to party it up at the Essence, while I was stuck here.
1. It’s summer, I have my trips lined up, getting ready to party Diva style and I agreed to go “indoor sky-diving” with POW and “outdoor sky-diving” with Devin. Now all I need is my vodka and a hot sexy summer fling...yep, I said it!

26 Hr. Marathon - In Theory It Was A Good Idea...
Ummm, so much to say. I am still adjusting to the fact it’s Monday, and I had an interesting weekend. So New York. What can I say. The plan was to not have a plan, and ummm well the spontaneity was exciting, but I’m not sure if I can pull another all nighter like that. Devin and I took the bus to New York around 2pm. That was the longest damn ride ever. We were supposed to get there at 6:15....three hours after the fact, we finally, finally made it to Penn Station. Not one’s for letting that ruin the night, we went and had dinner, found a cool spot called “The Groove” hung out there until 3am, found a bar a block away and hung out there until 4am...then we had 3 hours to kill before our return to D.C. I was dead, literally. I was so tired I was delirious, I thought I seen a kangaroo (probably an NYC rat), and never fully recovered on Saturday.
Last night, we hung out for about an hour together on U Street, and decided we’re going to try to do NY again this weekend.....
About Devin
Devin is just a friend, so don’t get too excited! He’s cool. He actually works for me, sorta. He’s attractive, a little goofy and nerdy, but a sweet sweet guy. He loves to have fun, but is into the “eclectic” type fun. We’ve hung out before- never like this. He just got out of a relationship, and with Brian’s departure, it’s a perfect match. I get my male hang out buddy, and he gets to have fun with me! What more can I ask for???

Freaky Friday (Was There A Full Moon???)
“I only like two kinds of men, domestic and imported” - Mae West
I’ve said before how much I love men... all types. Well men (and some women) love me too! I had a pretty eventful Friday. I ended up hanging solo. P.A.T.T. backed out at the last minute & Brian went home for his daughter’s birthday, while other chick friends were out of town or missing in action.
Side Note: Pre-Brian and Post P.A.T.T. leaving for NY, I used to hang out quite often solo. Chick friends come up with so many excuses, i.e. “I’m cramping”, “My head hurts”, “I don’t have anything to wear” or my favorite “It’s raining”. So rather than sit at home and wait for someone to stop being wishy washy...I fly solo when needed, but I digress...
So anyways, Friday was... well here’s what happened.
5. I went to a Brazilian dance party in Adams Morgan. Tons of fun, and somehow, the island men always sniff me out. They assume I’m 1) from the islands and 2) don’t believe me when I tell them, I was homegrown in the States...in any case, this island guy was Old. Caused me to have not so yummy flashbacks of the Old Man. After shaking him and his entourage loose, I bar hopped to my next spot...
4. Stumbled upon another bar with cool music. Chatted with people. Everyone that I meet when I’m solo, is in such “awe and amazement” that I have the balls (figuratively speaking) to go out solo (Diva style). Most of the girls say they wish they could do that, and the guys, just think it’s pretty cool, and give me cool points.
3. Went back to the Brazilian dance party...(the lead singer was cute...couldn’t help it)
2. After consuming my max on vodka & limes, I walked past a food spot that looked good. Stopped in and got a sandwich. As I’m sitting there this chick tells me how good my sandwich looks. Thinking nothing of it, I go on to adamantly exclaim, how it’s “sooooooo good”. Then she stairs at me a little longer:
Chick Girl: Yeah, you’re making that sandwich look soooo good
Me: (wiping the extra sandwich sauce from chin, cause it was messy) Yea, it’s really good, you should get one. It’s chicken
Chick Girl: (walks over to me, looks at sandwich) Yeah, it’s sexy. You’re making me hungry
Me: (I’m still eating)
Chick Girl: Can I have a bite?
Me: No
Chick Girl: (laughing) what’s in it? Are you alone?
I tell her. Her male friend/cousin/ whoever comes and intervenes (saves me) and talks to me. This isn’t the first time a chick girl has “flirted” with me. I wonder though, don’t gay men & lesbians have “Straight-dars”. I know I have a “Gay-dar” (Disclaimer: Sometimes it doesn’t function properly, you know, mistakes straight for gay & vice versa). In any case, I’m comfortable enough in my womanhood, where it didn’t bother me....but I have to wonder...what the hell was she thinking? Oh well...I guess I’m flattered men & women like me (I think)...

An Update of Sorts...
Ok, so much happened last week, I need to give somewhat of a blow by blow update
Tony - We haven’t talked since our fight. No text messages, no phone calls. I’m on the fence about it. On one hand I don’t give a F, but on the other hand I want to “close” the chapter, because I don’t want any random text messages or calls to surface later. I guess I don’t really have anything to say to him, but since we have a habit of running into each other, I don’t want it to be awkward...
Mr. Henry - He called me a few times last week and yesterday. I still haven’t seen him since his death, sometime in October. Yesterday he asked me if I still had company. I told him yes. Then he was like “oh, I was going to see if you wanted to come over”. I told him even if they were gone, I couldn’t move after being up and outside in the cold all day. We talked a few more minutes and hung up. Even if I DO decide to see his stupid ass (I know that’s not nice), it won’t be at his place or mine. It will have to be in a public place, with lots of people around...
Brian - Brian met me and some of my friends out on Friday night. We had a freakin’ ball. Then Sunday night he and I went out, we are two peas in a pod, can’t get enough of hanging out!!! We had fun. I didn’t make it home till about 3:30am. Our plans are set for Jamaica. Sunday he told me I’m going to see a different side of him, that I never seen before.
Me: Oh, lord, you mean it gets worse?
Brian: All, I’m saying, is I’m gonna have fun
Me: What happens in Jamaica stays in Jamaica
I decided, that even if he tries to, no matter how hard it is (no pun intended), I can’t/won’t/will not go there with him...wish me luck...he’s still sexy to me...
The Old Man - So I had family to come in (and are still here) for the Inauguration. I told the Old Man this, and told him, I probably won’t be able to hang out with him. Wednesday of last week, we made plans to hang out on Friday (with my family of course).
Old Man: What did you tell them about me?
Me: Nothing
Old Man: Well what will they say when we hang out? Who is Mr. Benjamin? What will you tell them bout us?
Me: What did you tell your sons about me?
Old Man: I don’t talk to my sons...
Me: Well then, there’s nothing to tell them. We’re just hanging out. I think it’s about time for another talk of sorts...
Old Man: You’re right
Friday night my family got in, and they didn’t feel like hanging out. So I made plans with some friends and Brian, but I told the Old Man everyone was tired (I was, it WASN’T totally a lie) and that they didn’t want to go out and lets hang out on Saturday. He kept saying how he wanted to spend time with me, I told him he knew I may not get a chance to see him with me having company, but we’ll all hang out on Saturday.
Saturday comes around, we talk, and I tell him our plans. We’re going to hang out in an area with a lot of clubs and bars, and we are going to start at this club that’s free and was advertising free drinks for an hour. And if we aren’t having fun, we’ll leave and go somewhere else. It just depended on what my family wanted to do. He tells me to have fun.
Me: What you’re not coming?
Old man: No, I told you I wasn’t
Me: You told me you wanted to hang out
Old Man: You said you didn’t know what you guys were doing
Me: Yes I did. I told you we’re going to hang out at a club...ok, whatever. Bye.
Halfway through the night, the Old Man texts me to see how the club is, and if we are having fun. I text him back to tell him, I’m disappointed that he didn’t want to hang out with us. He texts me back and says I’ll feel better later...whatever that means.
When we get home that night after hanging out at three different clubs, there’s a bag on my porch (that says Happy Birthday). Inside the bag is a wrapped gift and a card that simply reads “Kitten”. I get inside and open it up. It’s the book I wanted. ( I LOVE PRINCE) I text him and tell him thank you, that it’s late and I’ll call him.
I call him the next afternoon letting my gratitude rain down on him.
Me: Thank you so much honey, you didn’t have to do that. Stop buying me stuff. You already paid for dinner and the spa. My birthday is over.
Old Man: I told you I wasn’t done with you, it was all part of the plan. That’s why I wanted to see you on Friday...so I could give you the gift at the “Prince” party
Me: Awee, that’s so sweet, but I don’t want you to buy me anything else. Ok?
Old Man: Well I have one more thing planned for you.

Festive Friday
OMG, I was soooo glad to be back on Friday, you have no idea! I love my family, but after being stuck in the sticks for 5 days, I welcomed the sirens, metro's opened doors and the nightlife. I realized I am somewhat of a "quintessential party girl". No I don't party every night or every weekend, but I need to know a party is going on somewhere. I need to know that I have options if I choose...when I was at home, the options were slim to none. Kind of like the Detroit Lion's winning, I mean losing streak and I can't have that!!!
P.A.T.T was in town for the weekend visiting her family. The plan was to go salsa dancing...and guess who we went with? Yep, the Old Man. He picked us up, and we headed out for a night of good times. So P.A.T.T. is the first one of my friends to meet the Old Man. We get in the car, and I look at her to see what her reaction would be...she smiles. Later on, I had to get a second opinion.
Me: So does he look old?
P.A.T.T.: No, he doesn't look the way I imagined him
Me: What did you think he looked liked?
P.A.T.T.: I thought he'd have grey hair & look older
Me: Really???
P.A.T.T.: Yeah, but he looks good for however old he is, how old is he again?
Me: 56
P.A.T.T.: Damn he's old...He looks like he could be in his forties

Last night was almost amazing! Actually it was amazing. I went out and had a blast. While most girls were bringing out their “inner hooker” in sexy costumes…I opted to wear my old cheerleading uniform from high school! Yep…I still got it, and filled it out a lot more than I did 10 years ago! I’m happy I decided to skip hanging out with the Old Man. I ended up meeting a few potential new daters, danced all night, and made it home by 3!!! What a Friday, I wish every Friday was a costume party!
Today is such a nice day out. I don’t know what I want to do. Do I hang out with Old Faithful, or do I hang out with someone new. Cartoon Hands (Carl) called me earlier this week and wants to do something. Also, Latino Papi has been trying to see me for the last week…what to do, what to do???

Another Great Friday
I had another great Friday. I now live for Fridays!!! Despite being tired from my busy week, I wanted to hang out and be social. I started the night off hanging with friends at a karaoke bar. It was a blast! I didn't realize how much fun it would be. While I was there, Brian & I sent messages back & forth about meeting up. I left the bar & met him at my favorite lounge.
I don't know why I like hanging out with him. Half of the time, I'm flirting or am on the floor dancing with other guys. Maybe it's because we are so much alike. It's really weird. I really don't have a crush on him anymore either...I still think he's sexy, but that's it.
On my way home (in a cab) I made drunk calls to Mr. Henry, however we couldn't get it together...so I went home super drunk & horny.

My Semi-Date with Chris
Last night after a month of texting back and forth & cancelling dates ( I had to cancel Monday due to a bad hair day!), Chris & I finally saw each other again! I went to his place to catch the last hour of the debates. He has the quintessential bachelor's pad ....minimal! (but clean) His main piece of furniture is a pool table. I love it! I must admit, I was a little nervous getting out at his place. He stays in the hood...real hood. When I got there EMS trucks and like ten fire trucks were outside his front door! I may have to wear a bulletproof vest the next time I visit him!
We snuggled up on the couch and laughed & made stupid jokes about the debate. It was great. At one point we were holding hands, & he was laying on me...I have to admit, it was kind of nice...just chilling.
We made out a little....then his hand started to roam a little too south...I didn't mind, but I have my hands full with Mr. Henry...plus there's a new guy who may be joining the line-up!
I told him I had an early morning and I had to go. He walked me out & gave me a goodnight kiss. On my way home he sent me a message and said how great it was seeing me and we must do it again...hmmm, I think I'll take him up on that offer!
