The Weekend Review: A Date, Stay On Your-Side & PDA

10. My weekend started on Wednesday. I hung with some chick friends for a minute. Not the same. Was home by midnight to prepare for my day trip to NY at 7:30am

9. The trip to NY with Devin was much better this time. We got a room in Midtown, didn't have the bus ride from hell and just chilled. Uno problemo. There was only one bed in our room, although I clearly requested two.

8. It's been almost two weeks since I heard from Mr. Henry. Guess he didn't like what I had to say. Oh well, his numbers were deleted two weeks ago anyways along with Tony's & some "unmentionables"

7. Speaking of "unmentionables", I ran into DJ a week or so ago. He's texted and called me a few times since our encounter...

6. Devin and I got stuck in Starbucks after 2am, cause someone thought it was a bright idea to use that entrance to get to our hotel room, well, in our defense, the door WAS unlocked. As soon as it shut behind us, it locked and the alarm started going off. The opposite door to the hotel was locked too....we were “locked-up”.

5. Friday night, after getting back to DC, I hung with some chick friends for happy hour and drinks. Then met Devin in Adams Morgan.

4. After a night of vodka’s and limes, while walking down the street at the butt crack of dawn in the morning in Adams Morgan and on U Street, I was yelling at couples who were having sex and sucking face to get a room politely told people who felt the need to show random acts of Nasty, McNasty PDA to get a room. This one couple retorted back and said, “well you can kiss the guy you’re with”. (Pause). I looked at Devin and apologize to the couple....punks.

3. I went on a date yesterday. It was so fucking boring. (more on that later)

2. Brian made it safely. I’m so jealous he got to party it up at the Essence, while I was stuck here.

1. It’s summer, I have my trips lined up, getting ready to party Diva style and I agreed to go “indoor sky-diving” with POW and “outdoor sky-diving” with Devin. Now all I need is my vodka and a hot sexy summer fling...yep, I said it!

Just Say No

"And on the 9th day, Diva rested..."

I was going to do this earlier, then I got side tracked, then I went salsa dancing....but here's the overview of my vodka filled week. Yes week! I went out 6 days out of the last 8...

9. Island Prince called me tonight. We actually had a better conversation. His English is improving, or my French translation switch is working. I found out he no longer lives with his baby's mama, cause she high-tailed it to France, his brother had twins, and he wants to see me...in his words..."very, very soon".

8. Ummm. Brian & I hung out Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Yes Sunday. Although I haven't seen the movie, I feel like saying..."I can't quit you"... Oh, and he likes the flask. We put it to good use on Saturday!

7. Apparently when I drink, I give up all of the info. You can ask me anything, anything. Atleast that's what I was told on Sunday, by a guy I met Saturday night. Why is liquor the truth serum? The government needs to start a new program and give all suspected "bad guys" shots of vodka...it works like a charm. Maybe I should be the Director of the program...you know, administer the vanilla vodka shots...

6. Tony sent me the following text message on Friday - "Maybe I should keep this to myself, but I've been thinking about u in the wrong ways. U were the best sexually I ever had"...

5. I do hang with other people besides Brian. Friday night I hung with the chick friends....uhhh, I was home by midnight.

4. Thanks Tunde and Blk Bond...I did some "research"...

3. I went salsa dancing tonight with P.A.T.T. No Old Man sightings, I had a really good time. I forgot what great exercise it is! I definitely need to get back into it.

2. I'll admit, after receiving Tony's text, I thought about inviting him over to conduct some "research". But then I remembered why I had to stop dealing with him...crazy, crazy, crazy.

1. I'm going to "try" (key word: TRY) to lay low this week/weekend. It's so hard to do when you live in D.C. and there's something to do every night of the week. I'm sure my liver, kidney's and bank account will thank me for it!

Two Ways to Take It

He started again. Brian. Ass smacks. Now, it's been awhile, (i.e. at least 7 months or so) I'm going to just blame it on the alcohol, because really, I don't know how to take it. Last night, we, along with P.A.T.T. went out. We danced the night away (literally). So here's the funny thing, maybe it's not that funny, but Brian had out of town company visiting. A girl. And...he left her at his place. Friday, he told me he was sick of her, and couldn't wait for her to leave...Last night, he left her. So when I asked about her & what was going on, he said...and I quote..."I'm done with her" (end quote)

Damn.

In Other News

I met this guy (whose name I can't remember) and, I don't know if I was seeing things, but it looked like half of his gums were split. Think dentures on the top, but for half of the top row. I can't explain it. It reminds me of this one time, when I met this guy with coke bottle glasses. I have no problem with guys who wear glasses, in fact, the right pair, is sexy, but I digress. So anyways, it wasn't just his glasses, that were bad. It was everything. But, when I met him, I had vodka goggles. So later that week, he calls me, we set up a date, and on my way to the meeting spot, I walk pass this guy. I see him, but I divert my eyes (eye contact, gets you in trouble) and silently pray it's not him. I walk in the place, sit down, and order a drink. I'm watching guys come in, about 5 minutes goes by, and the "No Eye Contact Guy" walks in. (Shit) Then he walks straight towards me, and low and behold, it's the coke bottle glasses guy!

I smile, and we exchange pleasantries. So there were some other things, that the vodka made me forget. He had a glass eye! And his other eye, was cockeyed! So at this point, we're talking, and I can't help but to look at him. I'm all for eye contact, but I didn't know what to do!!! I'm not a rude or superficial person, so I try to make the most of the situation. I pick a spot on his forehead, so it looks like I'm looking at him while we converse, without being rude.

So aside from his glass eye, which I could have gotten past if he was sexy, his conversation was LAME. He said he was a music producer, and he was working on his music career (like whatever dude), and the list goes on...

So yeah, that's who the guy I met this weekend reminded me of. This time I didn't have vodka goggles. More like tequila.

All I Want For Christmas...

All I want for Christmas...is to get rid of this awful cold...

Six days from now, I will be in sunny, beautiful, Jamaica (for 7 days!) for a much needed vacation. This isn’t the trip with Brian in February...instead it’s a “Girls” vacation to ring in the New Year right!!! I’m so excited and am so trying to get rid of this cold/flu that has had me down for the last few days!!! Being sick, sucks major A.

The Old Man has tried to get my spirits up, but between work, the cold, dog sitting, and everything else, I haven’t been in the mood to see him. He gave me the disclaimer months ago that he doesn’t do Christmas and not to buy him anything...so I won’t. I’m not even sure if I even want to spend it with him (I won’t be going home). We have plans to see a movie or something tonight, but, I’m not sure what I want to do. Tony has called me a few times last week, saying how much he missed me, and he wants me to see him perform tonight... I may just say no to both of them and crawl in my bed...

In Other News

My birthday is coming up in two weeks. I started making plans on how I’m going to celebrate. The Party Girl, will fall off the wagon by this time I’m sure! Thus far I am celebrating at my favorite club/lounge. I sent the E-vite out on Friday. I contemplated on who to invite, and I decided to invite a lot of guys, including Mr. Henry (for shits & giggles), don’t ask me why, I don’t know...maybe I miss him, maybe I’m a glutton for punishment. I also invited Brian, Jason, John Q, the young boy and some other friends... I haven’t decided if I’m going to invite the Old man or Tony yet. I can invite one, but not both...

If 30 is...

If 30 is the new 20. What's 28?

Ok, the last two nights I've been out partying. Thursday night I hung out with Brian. We hadn't hung out in awhile, so it was a nice change. After we finalized our plans for our upcoming trip in February (Jamaica, Jamaica!) we went to this lounge that is the "place to be", if you are into the seen and be seen crowd. Although that's not really me, I always have fun...Thursday night was no exception.

Since I drove, I kept my drinking to a minimum (1 glass wine, 1 vodka & cran at Brian's), which is generally hard for me. The solution: leave credit/debit card in car or at home. Take a certain amount and once that's gone...it's gone.

Sometimes when I go out with Brian it's hard to meet other guys because they aren't sure if we are together or not...so I split for awhile. On my mission to search out hot guys I ran into this guy, John Q, I used to work with at a previous job. HOT, HOT, HOT! He's the quintessential good guy, with a mysterious secret life you want to know about. At work he's a suit and tie guy, extremely nice, well liked, smart.

Well, I seen a different, sexier side of him Thursday. I like!!! I had a crush on him, when we were working together. I never told him (or anyone else) because 1) we were co-workers and 2) he had a girlfriend at the time. But now...I think he's fair game. I heard he's single again!!! Hmmmm

For the most part, I was good on Thursday. I met another (and I mean this in all kindness) young guy. What is it with me meeting 23 year olds??? We danced & hung out for a second, but I could tell what was on his mind...it was on mine too...but not with him.

Friday. Ahhhh, too much to tell, but I will say this. I'm going to stop partying...I mean it this time, really I do. I went out with friends, and ended up:

1) using the same pick-up line three times (three different guys), it works! Trust me!
2) someone from my night of partying two weeks ago, recognized me, "Hey aren't you that girl.... "Uh no, that was my twin sister Victoria" ....(Damn, I need to go to obscure spots)
3) not sure if I drunk dialed or drunk text messaged anyone, because I lost my phone
4) woke up at 6:30am...(why do I wake up early when I drink???)
5) drunk more than I intended to drink (damn open bars get you in trouble!)

So my pledge is to stop partying...yep. Starting tonight (salsa dancing doesn't count).
