5. Detroit & my Michigan trip were good in general. Yes, they are one in the same, but I say Michigan because I was all over the place. I tried to fit everyone and everything in during the course of 4 days (technically 3 minus travel time). I ended up getting semi sick from the lack of sleep, traveling, and being cold...I’m 97% better now.
4. Chuck called me before my plane had the chance to taxi in. I called him back, but I was kinda just tired, hadn’t gotten the rental yet, and had about an hour drive to knock out. We played phone tag the next few days, tried to work something out, and finally got a chance to see each other over dinner & drinks. He has a girlfriend now. At first he didn’t claim her. Like, the first 3 times I asked about her. He finally broke down & showed me a picture of them the night before at her birthday party. Like really, you’re getting ready to go to Egypt with her in two weeks and you are still on the fence??? Hmmmm.
3. Lighting must have struck after I left the church. I’m pretty sure of it. Yes. I said church. I, Diva, actually went to church on Sunday while I was in Detroit. My Aunt asked me to go. Me being a woman of my word obliged her, although I was up until 5am that morning.
2. I won $823.00 dollars at MGM!!!
1. I spent it all back...(not in the same day) damn it. Don’t ask...ok half that night and pretty much half the next day.

The Vault: About Chuck
As promised, shedding some insight on Chuck...
The first time I met Chuck, there was a block party on campus, at one of the apartment complexes. It was one of those parties my roommates and I happened upon and just ended up talking, flirting, watching, flirting. In college, I was a bold little something. I said the first thing that came to mind in some situations...more or less a good girl, but a “huge shit talker”, in a nice way.
So I see this guy, who I’ve seen around campus before, walking around looking like a greasy imitation of Al B. Sure. He was asuper duper super senior, and in a fraternity that’s non-descript, but somehow they appeared on campus. Anyways, I see him talking to this girl. She gives him her number and as soon as she walks away, he gives it to his friend and they throw it away.
I said something to him. In a funny, but kind of “I know you didn’t, you’re not-all that” sort of way.
A month or so later, I see this same guy after a night at the bar. And yet again, he’s acting like he’s the shit, again, walking around, this time with a sucker, being nasty the one thing that irked the hell out of me in college. So I yell out the car and tell him he’s not all of that. We’re going back and forth flirting talking shit to each other and next thing you know, we’re exchanging numbers, and somehow end up on my couch.
We ended up becoming really good friendsafter tons of debauchery and lasciviousness although he always thought I was kidding when I told him he was bad in bed, or that his extended member was small. He had such a big ego (why, I’ll never know) so he thought I was funny, a challenge, and made it his mission to prove me wrong...
It’s been about nine, ten years and we are still friends and to this day, I still let him know, he's not all of that, and he still has a small Mr. Chuck. I'm not an ego killer, he still has one...

Detroit, Detroit
So like in seven or so hours I will be in the “D”. It’s been two years since my last visit, and I am definitely looking forward to catching up with some of my favorite people. Who? Well you guys met Breezy not too long ago, then there’s Chuck who I blogged about in passing. A few family members and other friends...
Speaking of Chuck, our friendship is interesting (I'll reach into the Vault & pull out our history). We’ve been friends for awhile, and Breezy, being the good friend that she is, took a few for the team when it came to his “friends”. The best wing-woman ever! And she got some perks from it! Chucks friend was so “in love” with her, he went the extra mile. Ahhhh the good ole days.
So Breezy, have my bullet-proof vest ready (I kid, lol)...

My Sunday With Mr. Henry
So Mr. Henry and I hung out all day on Sunday. We started downtown, and went bar hopping, we headed to Dupont Circle for more bars, stopped at a sports store, popped into a toy store, stumbled upon a strip club (it was not intentional), and went to dinner. We ended the night at my place and woke up to a semi-snow storm. So, throughout our DC Sunday adventures, we talked, kissed and talked.
I’ve come to realize something yesterday. We’ve know each other for almost 10 years now. Gosh, almost 10 years!!! That’s a decade. You’d think we’d move on and stop this sham. Well, I guess it’s not a sham, but when I think about it, the way I thought about it yesterday...I always come to the same conclusion. I love him...but as a friend. Just like I love Chuck, Brian, my brother, well I love my brother more if I had to quantify it. So yes, I love Mr. Henry....as a friend. I’m not “IN” love with him. I can’t see wedding bells and reception parties in our future...so why do I still hang out with him???
I dunno. I haven’t gotten that far yet...

The Thrill Is Gone
I’m bored with the guys again. Brian and I determined that we probably have ADD. A few times when we were in Jamaica, when we were forced to sit for long periods of time, we became bored, hyper, thrill seekers. These guys, I swear, are just BLAH sometimes. Case in point, the Old Man. Monday, he invited me over for music, snacks and games. He kept asking me what I wanted, since he’s a vegetarian. I told him to be creative, to pick up some things, I’m not that picky. Well he bugged the F out of me, until I sent him a list. You would think after a year of hanging out, he’d get it.
Here’s a summary of what’s going on lately.
Old Man - So last week we went to dinner. Mind you, I was still a little jet-lagged, happy, and nostalgic about my good times in Jamaica, so I was pretty chill. Just going with the flow. The Old Man picked the restaurant, a vegetarian Indian place downtown. I’m not a vegetarian, but whatever, I love Indian food, so I was cool. The bill comes. He looks at me. I tell him to take care of it this time, and I’ll get it later. He then says, he “took care of it last time”. WHAT??? Are you F’n serious? I then, nicely point out I took care of the movies that same night and that it was his idea to go to dinner, he chose the place, and I just got back in town and couldn’t do it. He makes a BIG production out of it. He puts his glasses on, lays the bill on the table, asks me if I want to see it.
Me: No
Old Man: You don’t want to see the bill?
Me: No. I’m not paying for it, you are. I’d leave a tip but I don’t have enough cash on me. I told you, I’d take care of it next time.
He left a bad taste in my mouth. When it comes to paying for things, he always tries to show me the receipt and make a big production of something, as if to say “See how much money I am spending”. When I pay for something, I give them my debit card, I never tell him (or anyone) how much it is. End of story. When we go out, I pick the bill up about 30-40% of the time. But the 60% of the time he does it, he makes a gigantic F’n deal out of it.
I hate that.
When I hung out with him Monday, things weren’t THAT bad. We had a good time, but I've been thinking a lot lately about how to end it. It's not him. He hasn't changed. I've seen the "Light". I don't want a future with him, and I'm bored/tired of what we are doing now. Nothing. Everything's the same. No surprises with him. Boring, monotonous, someone just shoot me now, I'd have more fun at the hospital!!!
Tony - Tony is .... “unbalanced”. He’s on medication, I think. At least that’s what he said awhile ago. Maybe he’s off his meds, which is code for “it’s time for ME to exit the train”. Saturday night was good. We spent time with each other. Sunday morning, we laid around. I fixed him breakfast. He complains, that he only eats egg whites. WTF??? He doesn’t eat meat, he doesn’t eat chicken, he doesn’t eat flour, therefore he doesn’t eat bread or crackers, he doesn’t drink milk, or eat dairy products. He says, he has a sensitive stomach...Damn Pansy. So whatever. He eats it. Loves it. I have a morning appointment to get to, so I shower, then we leave. That night he calls me, I didn’t hear my phone. When I checked it and called him back, he answered. He sounded stressed or something, and says he’ll call me back. I don’t hear from him.
Monday I called him to see if he’s ok.
Tony: I’m just going through some things. I’m going to get back into therapy.
Me: What’s wrong?
Tony: Well I can’t really talk about it right now, but we’ll talk later
It’s time to put him to rest. Adios Tony. Adios.
Brian - Just friends. So I had to get a guys perspective on Brian...more importantly a guy who is similar to Brian and is the male version of me. My best guy Chuck. Gotta love him. Stopped me from being the "girl" and helps me when I get in a tough situation...the solution, from page 121 of the manual. Brian and I are "Just Friends". Maybe years down the line, when we stop telling each other about our sexual conquests. But for now, he’s in my Friend Box, and I’m in his.

Happy 100th Of Sorts
Today is my 100th post. And although I have some juicy news, I need to get this out the way...
How the blog should have started...
It should have started 3 years ago. My best male friend Chuck was here visiting me and we went on a clubbing (drinking) spree. I met 10 guys in four days and made it my mission to go on a date with all of them. Some(ALL) I met under the pretense of beer goggles, uhhh, the glass eye guy comes to mind. Each day after the dates, I’d e-mail my friends a blurb to tell them how it went. They crack the hell up, and tell me I’m brave, funny, hilarious, should go on more dates so they could laugh at my expense (j/k). In any case, one out of the 10 was cute; Papi Chulo JC who was 5 years younger...can we say rob the cradle???.
The following year Mr. Henry moved to DC and lived (mooched) with me for 11 months. They were the worst 11 months of my life. Ok, not that bad, but it progressively got worse with each passing month. I was cleaning up after him, supporting him, cooking for him, sexing him on a daily basis. Damn, I felt like a F’n wife on lock down. I wasn’t dating anyone else, but I had my suspicions that he was dating other people. (we didn’t have the title of bf/gf either) After he moved out, I had a dry spell. I met some guys, but it was all a blur...
...then Jamaica happened. I don’t know what it was, but the first time I went, I came back a new woman. I mean, it was like guys were coming out of the woods and emerging from the sea when I got back. Then I went back to Jamaica to drink some more MAGIC WATER...and the blog was a sparkle in my eye, on the way to being born.
2008 Was A Good Year.
I decided to start writing my blog after my second trip to Jamaica (May 2008). I met soooo many guys in 2008, more than my college years (well, maybe they are tied). Granted all of the guys weren’t worth mentioning, but I noticed a trend...I was having a F’n blast. There was a time (a long, long time ago) when female friends and I would sit around complaining about the LACK of available GOOD MEN, how HARD it was to find a man, blah, blah, blah. Those days are LONG GONE. I’ve learned SOOO much from my dating experiences (and male friends) that I became a NEW dater. I’ll reveal my dating philosophies later (they will be on sale for $9.99!!!).
Direction.
When I wrote my first blog, I wasn’t sure what direction to go in or how much I should REVEAL about myself and the guys. I tried to change some identifying facts (so my secret identity will remain secret) about myself and the daters, with a little practice (after about the 4th or 6th entry) I had it! So here’s how I name the guys (with the exception of 1 or 2). I make sure the first letter of their name remains the same (as not to confuse myself). For example. If someone’s name is John, I may change their name to Jacob... something like that. Also, if you noticed, I don’t use pictures, instead, I wanted my words to create an image. I wanted to describe my dates, dating experiences in a lighthearted humorous way...(I’m still attempting to be humorous...not working, but whatever).
Initially.
I didn’t think anyone would read my blog, but then I had my first commenter! My blog brother SBM in NOVA. He was the only person for a long time (unless there were lurkers... reveal yourself!) who’d read and comment and act as a sounding board. (Thanks Hun!) I started reading his crazy, yet entertaining blog and kept writing because it became therapeutic and it was sort of a diary for myself. Then my Wildcherry happened! Although he never comments on here, (where are you???) for some reason he liked my writing style and asked me if I wanted to publish some articles on his awesome blog. Then I found my blog sister Mz. Mami, and became addicted to reading and blogging, and lurking on other blogs. (You can find other blogs I follow under my profile!)
Now What?
Last year, I had fun, ups and downs and conflicts. For example, Island Prince John. (For those who used their imagination with that situation. Thanks!!!) Then I had some really sad moments, i.e. killing Mr. Henry (although he managed to resurrect himself). In any case 2008 was a great year.
What do I want for 2009??? I have no F’n clue. Hence the Old Man and Tony. All I know is I NEED to write. It’s my daily therapy and it’s free! So thanks for reading, feel free to comment (I love your p.o.v. even if I don’t agree with it). And wish me dating luck for 2009!!!

Miami Here I Come...
Eight hours to Miami!!! I'm so excited, scared, curious? So many thoughts are going through my mind. Will Brian & I have a great time? Will I meet other guys? Will Brian and I end up in the same bed? Is he going to try to bring girls back to the room?
We've been sending each other text messages back and forth for the last few days about the trip. Funny thing is, if I were going with "Chuck" (best male friend from college), it wouldn't be a big deal...and Chuck and I have done quite a bit!!! But with Brian, I feel differently. I know we are "just friends", but he sends me too many mixed signals, (i.e grabbing my ass), so now I'm not sure what could happen. Not to mention the fact that before Island Prince, I thought Brian was hot & sexy.
But I stand firm in my decision to try really, really, really, really hard to be a good girl!
